Cookie of the Week: Butterscotch Chip Cookies

I just thought I’d try something besides chocolate for a change. I love butterscotch candies and pudding, so why not Butterscotch Chip Cookies?

Butterscotch Chip Cookie Recipe 

2 1/4 c. flour
1 tsp. soda
1 tsp. salt
1 c. Butter Flavored Crisco
3/4 c. sugar
3/4 c. brown sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
2 eggs
2 c. butterscotch chips
1 c. nuts, optional

Cream Crisco, add sugar, eggs and vanilla. Add the rest of the ingredients, chips last. Drop by teaspoons to cookie sheets. Bake at 375 for 9-11 minutes. Makes about 5 dozen delicious cookies.

These came out great! No alterations to the recipe necessary. It’s nice when that happens.
